Lip Augmentation

Creating Lovely Lips

An attractive lip has a short distance between the base of the nose and the upper border of the lip.

Attractive lips maintain youthful rounded curves and eversion. The “V” or cupid’s bow is neat and well-defined.

Think of the eversion of a young child’s lip and how this slowly changes with time. The vermillion becomes less visible at the corners of the mouth. The mouth tends to invert at the lateral borders, with age.  Vertical lines begin to develop and radiate from the upper lip border to the base of the nose. I like to restore the rounded curvature to the upper and lower lip,  without creating an overblown look. Following the natural contours creates an aesthetically pleasing result.  A gentle lift to the corners of the mouth can enhance the overall appearance of the face. from tired and drawn looking, to more rested in appearance.

Lip Treatment

Depending on what you want to achieve, this can vary from subtle fullness to a more voluminous look. The vermillion border or rim of the lips changes with time and the development of wrinkles, which can etch into the border. A good understanding of asethetics can create a beautiful result.
